Christmas Shopping!
Posted by Molly on November 28th, 2008. Filed under: General, Holidays, family.Well, I thankfully avoided any retail establishment yet managed to get over half of my Christmas shopping done today! I shopped exclusively online, and while I didn’t completely stick to my ‘handmade’ goal, everything was green or from a small e-tailer. I am especially proud of what I got for me and B’s parents. So if you’re reading this and you had a hand in birthing either B or myself, don’t click on the link below or you’ll ruin the surprise!
Okay, so I was inspired by this but decided to make our own “Green Kit”. Here is what they include:
- Smart Strip power strip that eliminates standby power usage
- Kleen Kanteen reusable water bottle
- Reusable shopping bags
- Solar powered flashlight (can hold a charge for up to 10 years!)
- Energy saving light bulbs
I’m really excited about them!! I figure I’ll work the angle of them saving money every year rather than saving the environment. Of course, I had to get one of each for B and I. I suck at not buying things for myself. I can’t wait to assemble these!

No way! A flashlight that can hold power for up to ten years! I have to get one of those! That is wicked!

Yeah and they’re not even that expensive! They’re only $20 at that link I posted. I had to get one of everything for me and B so it’ll be like double-christmas when we get our packages! :D I couldn’t buy all those green goodies and not get some for us ;D

That power strip is like the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. We’re going to need at least four of those as soon as I can get the money together.

Bummer, I think I just bought the last flashlight and I needed three . . . I’ll have to order from another sight now I guess.
